Natural Stone Sample Policy
A physical sample establishes the reference for production. Samples are available for qualified product development and sourcing projects; one-off prototypes are quoted separately.
Sample fees are quoted according to the stone, size, shape, processing, finishing and packaging requirements. Shipping is quoted separately where applicable.
For an approved production order, the sample processing fee may be credited against the order under agreed quotation terms.
Timing, confirmed per project.
Sample timing is confirmed per project after the material and technical requirements are approved.
Simple designs using available materials may be completed more quickly. Complex forms, special finishes, new tooling or difficult-to-source materials may require additional development time.
Shipping time is separate from production time.
Before production, record the approved dimensions, finish, stone variation, logo position and packaging. Confirm product and packed weights by measurement. Changes to the design or material may require a revised sample.

Build a reviewable brief for small-batch stone OEM
A written brief lets a brand, designer or purchasing team compare the same requirements through sampling and production. DeHong Stone reviews compact natural stone objects from drawings, reference images or a proposed sample.
Define the object
Intended use, overall dimensions, critical fits and a drawing or reference link. Mark which details are essential and which may be revised.
Define the variants
Stone and finish preferences, quantity per variant, engraving artwork, inserts or pads and acceptable appearance variation.
Record sample decisions
Drawing revision, observed dimensions, material reference, actual weight, fit and finish observations. Note unresolved points instead of treating proposed values as measurements.
Approve the batch basis
Confirm the sample, specification, quantity, quotation and packing method together. Sample fees, production timing and any tests are agreed per project.
Do I need a finished CAD drawing to discuss a stone object?
A reference image, intended use and approximate dimensions can start the discussion. Critical geometry, fit, material and manufacturing details still need to be resolved in the agreed drawing and sample before production.
Can website reference dimensions be used as approved production data?
No. They describe proposed designs; weights and packing values may be estimates. Record measurements from the actual sample and approved packing, resolve any open requirements and retain the agreed revision for production.

Send a drawing, photograph or sample description with approximate dimensions, intended use and quantity. Agree delivery arrangements before sending a physical sample. Review wall thickness, openings, edges and vein direction together so that the approved design suits the chosen stone. A small stone vessel or bowl, a sculptural brand gift and a keepsake box each raise different questions about construction, contact surfaces and packing.

Small-Batch Stone OEM
For natural stone home accessories OEM projects, identify the functions, quantities and finish requirements for each design before reviewing sample development.
Confirm the model, dimensions, finish, logo method and position, quantity per variant and packing presentation. MOQ depends on stone preparation, repeatability, tooling and finish. A prototype is quoted separately; repeating the approved design and coordinating a mixed order are reviewed in the quotation. Production and shipping schedules are confirmed for the project.

A: Our design references include marble, travertine, limestone and onyx directions for compact stone objects. The specific material, available thickness, natural variation, shape and finish need review together. Confirm the actual stone and sample for your project before production.
