DeHong Stone / Natural Stone Material Library

Natural Stone Material Palette.
Vein Selection.

Explore a natural stone material palette and vein selection for custom stone objects with DeHong Stone, a China-based natural stone manufacturer. Confirm the actual slab or material range, cutting area, thickness and finish before production; natural colour and veining will vary.

Material availability, final slab selection, colour, veining, thickness and price are confirmed with your DeHong Stone quotation. Photographs illustrate natural variation and do not promise an exact match. Product visuals illustrate a producible design direction. Final stone selection, veining, finish and dimensions are confirmed against an approved sample or slab before production.

Selection & sample checklist
Cutting layout
Review the diagonal bands and cross-veins at the proposed object size. For a broad display face or divided valet, agree the principal viewing direction and acceptable variation on the selected cutting area.
Recess and edge review
Confirm the available thickness before defining recesses or a divider. Check natural fissures, edge strength and the remaining stone section with the proposed shape on a physical sample.
Finish and contact
Develop the surface and edge finish around the intended contents. Discuss contact pads or an optional liner where relevant; the appearance reference does not establish resistance to scratching or liquid exposure.

These are project review prompts, not measured material properties or completed production results.

Finish & fabrication

Select a sound cutting area and review vein direction, recess depth, edge strength and natural fissures before milling. Small-format vein selection is agreed during sampling.

Natural variation, final dimensions and intended use are reviewed during sampling.

Selection & sample checklist
Artwork and veining
For a compact plaque or presentation surface, review the pale mineral areas and golden lines behind the artwork. Confirm legibility and the proposed engraving on a sample of the selected material.
Section and handling
Review natural fissures, thickness and eased edges before agreeing the construction and packing. No measured strength or translucency value is supplied for this reference.
Sample record
Confirm the chosen cutting area, finish, artwork contrast and protection between pieces. The trade name and photograph do not confirm exact material properties or repeatable vein placement.

These are project review prompts, not measured material properties or completed production results.

Finish & fabrication

Review natural fissures, thickness, eased edges and protective packing using a physical sample. Strength and translucency are assessed for the selected material.

Natural variation, final dimensions and intended use are reviewed during sampling.

Fendi White stone texture with cloudy white layers and narrow dark grey veins

DeHong Stone / Material selection

Fendi White

Cool white and pale grey with darker grey linear accents. Fine cloudy layers and intermittent narrow graphite-coloured bands.

Material option
Fendi White natural stone
Colour

Veining
Fine cloudy layers and intermittent narrow graphite-coloured bands
Thickness
18 mm reference; other thicknesses on confirmation
Availability
Subject to current slab and material confirmation
Suitable products
Low display steps, ring boxes and compact engraved surfaces
Selection & sample checklist
Pattern placement
Review the grey bands across the display face, engraving area or proposed box lid. Agree whether coordinating the lid and body pattern matters to your design and what variation is acceptable.
Thickness and construction
The 18 mm entry is a reference thickness, not a promise of suitable stock for every carved object. A deeper recess or taller box needs separately confirmed material thickness or an approved bonded construction.
Fit and finish
Review the actual usable space, edge profile, lid fit where relevant and optional contact protection on the sample. Do not infer hardness, water resistance or food-contact suitability from the pale appearance.

These are project review prompts, not measured material properties or completed production results.

Finish & fabrication

Thicker carved objects require separately confirmed thicker material or an approved bonded construction. Finish, edge strength and construction are approved on the sample.

Natural variation, final dimensions and intended use are reviewed during sampling.

Further material directions

Roman Beige Travertine, Carrara White Marble and Nero Marquina Marble are directions for project review. Current stock, slab photographs, processing suitability and stable supply have not been confirmed here. Availability is subject to sourcing and project confirmation.

Roman Beige Travertine

Material direction — subject to sourcing and project confirmation

Warm beige and cream. Layered bands and naturally occurring pores. Suggested applications: Valet trays, desktop display bases and decorative objects. Pore size, tone and vein direction vary; filling and finishing require sample approval. Availability subject to sourcing and project confirmation; no ready-stock or fixed-supply claim.

Nero Marquina Marble

Material direction — subject to sourcing and project confirmation

Deep black with white accents. Contrasting white veins with irregular width and movement. Suggested applications: Jewellery display dishes, compact display bases and custom plaques. Vein density, fissures and the appearance of finished edges require review on the selected slab. Availability subject to sourcing and project confirmation; no ready-stock or fixed-supply claim.

For travertine stone objects, review filled or open pores, intended use, edge strength and surface finish on a sample. This marble palette guide describes design directions, not verified inventory.

What is confirmed, and what still needs evidence?

The photographs and descriptions record a visual material direction. For custom onyx decorative objects, confirm the material identity behind the commercial name: an onyx stone reference does not establish mineral composition, origin or performance. Commercial names do not by themselves establish geological classification. Hardness, porosity and water-absorption test values are not supplied for these references.

If a property controls your design, request relevant documentation or testing for the proposed material. Confirm the sample, finish and any intended liquid contact or protective treatment before agreeing suitability. No waterproof, oil-resistant, food-contact or load-bearing result is claimed here.

From a slab to a small object

Large veins read differently at a 6–18 cm scale. Choose the actual cutting area, check natural fissures and agree acceptable colour and vein variation. Confirm thickness before defining a carved recess or box wall.

Finish and intended use

For marble, compare honed marble and polished marble samples against the intended contact, lighting and cleaning conditions. Edge treatment, surface protection and logo engraving are developed by sample. Wet-area, food-contact, outdoor and load-bearing suitability are reviewed for the intended use.

Materials and Stone Pattern Guide

Select a cutting area at the scale of the object, not just a slab photograph.

On a small surface, a broad vein may dominate the whole piece. Review the proposed face, vein direction and edge appearance; for paired objects or lids, agree how much visual continuity matters. The material library shows available design directions, with current slab availability and price confirmed for the project.

Natural Stone Variation and Approval

Approve a sample, actual slab or agreed material range; identical natural patterns cannot be promised.

Compare tone, movement, pores, mineral inclusions and the chosen finish. Set acceptable variation across the batch before cutting, particularly for a series of matched display objects. New material lots and replacement pieces require a fresh review. Food contact, wet use or special coatings require project-specific confirmation.
